Wine Tasting or Winemaking Session for Four at Studio Vino (Up to Half Off)

The year a wine was produced can dramatically increase its value, especially if it came from an era when bottles were still made from leopard pelt. Taste the past with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $ 26 for a wine tasting for up to four (a $ 52 value)
  • $ 309 for a two-hour winemaking session for up to four (a $ 520 value)

For the wine tasting, each guest receives 1-ounce pours of two reds, two whites, and two dessert wines and a cheese board. Winemaking sessions are on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, though Friday and Saturday events are not private.

Studio Vino

Studio Vino breaks down the winemaking process into five easy steps. To start, up to four visitors gather for a wine tasting, where they sample between 8 and 11 of the winery’s red and white varietals, each paired with hand-selected cheeses, crackers, and chocolates. After deciding which wine to craft, guests don aprons and use giant whisks and measuring cups to mix ingredients. A tap of a hammer seals shut the fermentation tanks, which Studio Vino’s staff handles during the 90-day fermentation process of racking, clarifying, and filtering. However, much like when da Vinci took his end-of-the-day bath, the creative process isn’t over yet.

Three months later, guests rejoin for a bottling party. They slap labels—which they customized using their own designs or Studio Vino’s logos and graphics—on their litter of 14 newborn bottles. The clinks of celebratory toasts are a prelude to sips as Studio Vino enhances the ambiance with catered meals or live jazz. Along with winemaking sessions, Studio Vino hosts tastings, live music every Wednesday, bottles for onsite or home enjoyment, and customized wines for weddings.
