$ 25 to See 311 and Slightly Stoopid at the Comcast Theatre on August 6 at 7 p.m. (Up to $ 51.85 Value)

The best live bands have honed their chemistry through hours spent rehearsing in the studio, improvising onstage, and playing games of MASH on the tour bus. Get out of the shack and pile all eight kids into the Ferrari for this GrouponLive deal to see 311 and Slightly Stoopid at the Scion Festival Stage at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford on Monday, August 6, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. For $ 25, you get one G-Pass for general admission (up to a $ 51.85 value, including all fees).

Because the ticket is a G-Pass, Groupon customers can use it to enter the venue directly; they will not need to redeem their Groupon at will call.

This summer on the Unity Tour 2012, 311 and Slightly Stoopid roll through the continent with their signature trippy reggae beats and distorted guitar thrashing. 311’s five-piece band broke out of Omaha in the mid-’90s with their blend of sing-along choruses and raspy lyrics, propelled into the microphone by dueling vocalists S.A. Martinez and Nick Hexum. Their triple-platinum, self-titled album scored the first and second spots on the Billboard charts with the guitar-soaked rap of “Down” and the funky bass of “All Mixed Up.”

Slightly Stoopid throws similar rock-laced beats throughout a discography that stretches back to a self-titled release in 1996. During their live sets, guitar and conga players wander fearlessly along deep grooves into rambling jams, stretching the track in surprising directions, like a walrus trying to shimmy into sweatpants.

Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon’s mobile app.
